BETTER THAN MOST
Wildwood Green’s modern identity was shaped in 1986 under the stewardship of Roger and Sandy Watson and refined through a comprehensive redesign in 1996 by respected architect John LaFoy. Known for creating courses that reward thoughtful shot-making, LaFoy’s regional work includes Devils Ridge Golf Club, The Neuse Golf Club, North Ridge Country Club, and Carolina Country Club.
Built by Landscapes Unlimited, a nine-time national honoree, the course has continued to evolve with intention. Champion Bermudagrass greens installed in 2017—consistently regarded among the finest in the Triangle— paired with recent cart path and bunker renovations, deliver polished, dependable playing conditions that reflect a commitment to quality found at the triangles most respected clubs.
WHERE CHAMPIONS PLAY. More than a slogan, Wildwood Green has earned recognition as a golf course where champions play. Through our unique and continually growing player history, we are proud to have an accumulated 28 Major Championship starts and more than 625 PGA Tour starts represented by those who have walked our fairways.

CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS
At Wildwood Green Golf Club, our members come first—always. Continuous improvement is not a program or a phase; it is part of our DNA. Guided by the principles of Total Quality Management, we believe the strongest clubs are built through consistency, accountability, and thoughtful refinement across every part of the member experience. From course conditions to service standards to the rhythm of daily play, every decision is made with long-term enjoyment and reliability in mind.
That commitment allows Wildwood Green to offer an experience that feels like a club in every sense of the word. Members enjoy a sense of familiarity, community, and pride that goes beyond a daily-fee experience. It’s a place where staff know your name, rounds feel unhurried, and the atmosphere reflects private-club levels of care—without private-club barriers. Improvements are made deliberately, ensuring the course, practice areas, and clubhouse evolve with purpose while preserving what makes the club special.
Wildwood Green also embraces competition and the pursuit of excellence. Our full calendar of member events, leagues, and championships provides opportunities for golfers of all abilities to compete, connect, and represent the club with pride. The success of our Champions and competitive teams speaks to the strength of our membership and the quality of the golf experience, reinforcing a culture where performance, sportsmanship, and camaraderie are valued equally.
Instruction and player development support that culture, providing members access to experienced professionals and practice resources when they choose to pursue improvement. Juniors and families are welcomed into the game in a way that reflects our belief in the future of golf, while always keeping the membership experience at the center of the club’s mission.
That commitment has been recognized locally and statewide, but more importantly, it is felt every day by those who play, practice, compete, and gather here. The result is a complete golf experience—defined by consistency, community, competition, and value.
If you’re looking for a club that puts its members first, takes pride in its Champions, and never stops striving to be better, Wildwood Green is a place you can call home.
